최근에 외국 프라모델 포럼에 올라온 글입니다. 출처는 Hyperscale.com 입니다. 이 글에 의하면 2005년 2분기 즈음에 아카데미에서 1/32스케일 팰컨을 만들기 위해 준비중이라고 하는데 혹시 이에 관한 정보를 알고계신가요? ARC에서도 이에 관한 논의가 한창이더군요. 만일 이 내용이 사실이라면 내년이 정말 기다려지겠습니다. 특히 타미야의 과도한 디테일과 이로인한 가격 폭등을 생각하면 아카데미가 유일한 대안이 될꺼 같기도 합니다. I just had a discussion with the Academy importer. Academy are hard at work on their 1/32 F-16C. (해석: 나는 아카데미 수입업자와 이야기하는 도중 아카데미에서 1/32 F-16C를 열심히 개발중에 있다는 말을 들었다.) It will be a different version to the Tamiya kit - maybe an earlier -C model? One thing he did say that I found interesting is the fact they they will be "detailing down" the kit. What does this mean? It will still be a well detailed model, but won't be as detailed/complex as their F/A-18. This means it won't cost as much either. I think the idea is to market it at those who would like a large F-16 model but can't afford the Tamiya kit. He said it will probably be available for release in the second quarter of 2005. I asked about future 1/32 Academy releases and the guy said he also asked them (!!!) but that for now there was no news on future 1/32 kits, they were concentrating on the F-16 for now.
